Threadbare certificates for tablets and smartphones were on the Expert Forum in June a subject of discussion: it has been shown how difficult the ignition protection is for compact mobile devices, and that on the market increasing Nr. of Atex-certified devices appear whose ignition protection can be seen more than a critical part. "May we no longer trust to the Atex stamp?", users asked in the audience. "As long as the market surveillance does not take a device from the market, the operator must not take this out of the operation," was the official answer. However, on the one hand, market surveillance appears to be currently overwhelmed by the flood of new devices, on the other hand single "Notified Bodies" seem to issue Atex certificates very easily. "Let us work together to get the respect of rules and certificates, by informing each other", was the final consequence.
